Gluten-free Pizza Crust Recipe
Introducing our delicious and easy-to-make gluten-free pizza crust recipe! This recipe is perfect for those with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease, as it is made with a combination of gluten-free flours and is completely free of wheat, barley, and rye.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup flaxseed meal
- 1 tsp xanthan gum
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Directions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free flour, almond flour, flaxseed meal, xanthan gum, salt, and sugar. Stir well to combine.
- In a small bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and olive oil. Stir and let sit for 5 minutes, until the mixture becomes frothy.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let sit in a warm place for about 30 minutes, or until it has doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet or pizza pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- Roll out the dough to the desired thickness and shape, and place on the prepared baking sheet or pizza pan.
- Add your desired toppings and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the toppings are hot and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
Tips:
- To make the dough more stretchy, you can add more gluten-free flour or xanthan gum to the dough.
- To make the crust crispier, you can cook the crust for a few minutes before adding toppings.
- You can substitute the almond flour with other gluten-free flour like coconut flour or chickpea flour.
Enjoy your pizza!
